Shawn Krahe is a partner in Sonkin • Koberna, and has been a member of the firm’s transactional group since 2002. Prior to joining Sonkin • Koberna, Shawn had six years of experience representing small and medium-sized private businesses in a wide variety of corporate and real estate matters. During this time, Shawn counseled owners, developers, landlords and tenants in all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, development, sales and leasing of retail, warehouse, office, commercial and residential developments and properties. In her corporate practice, Shawn also developed significant experience in corporate organization and governance, including entity structuring, business succession planning and joint ventures.

At Sonkin • Koberna, Shawn continues to counsel a diverse client base on a full range of real estate and corporate matters, providing insight to address the needs and concerns of all parties involved. Shawn’s current real estate practice takes clients through each stage of a transaction, from negotiating purchase agreements, coordinating due diligence and orchestrating closings during the acquisition phase to negotiating construction and financing documents during the construction phase, drafting management agreements and leases during the operations phase, and finally handling the disposition. Shawn also provides services to business clients, including entity formation and structuring, stock redemptions and purchases, commercial financing and negotiation of a wide array of commercial contracts, including, manufacturing, license and consulting agreements.

  • Acquisition of numerous properties in Midwest and Southern United States through real estate syndication, raising capital from private investors under private placement memorandum
  • Represent national REIT in leasing transactions throughout the United States
  • Represented restaurateur in lease of locations in Midwest, Eastern and Southern United States and acquisition of corporate headquarters
  • Represented property owner in connection with retail ground lease to national tenant in Independence, Ohio
  • Acquisition of 178-unit residential apartment complex in Lakewood, Ohio
  • Lease of approximately 52,000 square foot warehouse unit in Bedford, Ohio
